Cassandra Monique Batie known professionally as Andra Day is an American R&B and soul singer actor and songwriter. The Grammy Award, Children's and Family Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award are among the numerous awards she's received. The singer was also selected for the Academy Award. Andra Day is an imposing singer and artful songwriter who does not just play throwback R&B specialist. Her roots are in gospel music and blues performed with ease and grace are carried into the current. Stand Up for Something, her contribution in 2017 to Marshall's score for the film Marshall was awarded the Academy Award as well as an Academy Award and a Grammy. Amen and the singles Make Your Troubles Away and The United States Versus Billie Holiday each have singles making fans wait for the arrival of her second album. Andra Day has been born Cassandra Monique Batie, in Edmonds Washington. She grew as a child in San Diego and the metropolitan area. She sang at churches, and was enrolled into the School of Creative and Performing Arts. Following the graduation ceremony, she began to explore contemporary R&B music, jazz and pop however, she was enticed back to the jazz and soul performers of the old. A major break came after a show she performed was caught by Kai Millard Morris who subsequently gave some of Day's tracks to her husband Stevie Wonder. The Motown legend in turn became acquainted Day with veteran of the music industry Adrian Gurvitz. Day's YouTube fan base grew fast after she formed a team along with Gurvitz, Jeffrey Evans and Buskin. She later signed a major label deal with Warner Bros. It was quickly received by DJs who began broadcasting it to the radio. Following her joining Warner Bros. Records, she began working alongside producer Adrian Gurvitz to create her debut album "Cheers to the fall" (2015). It featured the hit song"Rise Up," which was the anthem for groups for justice across all over the world. Day was awarded two Grammy nominations for the category of Best R&B Album for her album. The United States Versus Billie Holiday was her second album which was released in 2019. It was an album that was conceptually based on the life of Billie Holiday. She also starred in The United States vs. Billie Holiday, a film that tells the story of Holiday. Andi Matichak is a famous American actress. She first appeared on television shows such as Orange Is the New Black or Blue Bloods and then made her debut in horror films Halloween and sequels. Andi Mattichak was born on May 3, 1994 in Framingham Massachusetts.
